New Children's Stories

I am going to be writing some more children's stories! I've been having ideas about all sorts of adventures and it's time I wrote them down.

These new stories will be for older children who can read on their own. But they can also be read at bedtime/quiet time by parents and carers.

When I was young I loved stories about magic and going into different worlds. I absolutely adored Enid Blyton's Magic Faraway Tree series. I am going to include similar elements in my stories - magical portals into different worlds, strange characters, exciting adventures, mysteries ...

I've already made a start on the first story! As soon as the first books are available I'll put the details on this site. If you sign up to my newsletter, I will let you know via email. As I publish my new children's stories I will let all my subscribers have a free ebook as a thank you.

Back to writing!

Cleckheaton Literature Festival

I am proud to say that I have been invited to appear at the Cleckheaton Literature Festival.

I will be at the library on Saturday 9th May between 10 - 11am. I'll be reading from my picture books: You Can't Eat A Princess! and You Can't Scare A Princess! There will be activity sheets for children, and I will also be signing my books.

It looks like it's going to be a great event. I'm looking forward to it!

New website

If you have been following me for a while you will see that I have a new website. It has less detail on as I'm taking a break from writing children's books so that I can concentrate more on my mystery stories. I write these under the name of Gillian Larkin. You can see the books on my site at www.gillianlarkin.co.uk
I have some free books available under that name, so please download some if you think you might like my stories.
I have enjoyed writing my children's books but I've been wanting to write mystery books for a long time - and now I finally have!

Please feel free to email me at: gillianrogerson1@gmail.com
